Yes, I like Star Trek. The movie was absolutely wonderful. I never even liked Star Trek before I saw it. Now I'm determined to see the original series and everything else. I want to be a fan, and not the kind that sees a movie and claims fandom.
I know, it does not look like Leonard Nimoy or Zachary Quinto. That was not the object of the drawing. Merely to capture an image that resembled the character of Spock. It's probably closer to Leonard Nimoy, though. (This person hearts the Zachary Quinto version, though.)
Oh my goodness, I didn't even see the picture yet, but I saw the title and couldn't help but giggle. You're too cute, Hijikata-san. And your new fandom makes me smile.
This is an excellent portrait, though. Seriously, it almost gives me goosebumps. This is one of the best things you've made!

I'm completely oblivious as to who I am anymore.
*laughs* I'm glad it makes you smile. Everyone else seems to think it's like...I don't even know. I'm getting a lot of crap for it. Thank you, though, seriously. Detail is something I have been needing to work on.

"All right, okay, yeah, forget about it, so what, stop the hand wringing, sure sure, knock it off, cool it, shove it, eh?"
You're very welcome. You're really very good. I'm sure I've said it many a time before, but you've advanced so much further than before. Have you been studying your anatomy book?
(Perhaps I should give in and buy one...perhaps it's the only hope for me.)

Actually, to be completely honest, I don't use my anatomy book for faces, and I use it hardly at all in the first place. I sort of take everything in from other things I see, such as anime and manga. I only really use my anatomy book for things like poses.
Also, having to draw portraits for my art class this last year really helped. I had to draw myself for one of them, and then for another one I drew Jared Leto. I dislike how Jared turned out, but I like the picture of me. *laughs*
